Astonishing thermal bath to open in the Danube Bend – PHOTOS
The Lepence beach used to be one of the most popular tourist destinations of Visegrád. The place was about to be demolished but a new owner purchased the area.
The beach is in a horrible condition right now. As the previous owner went bankrupt, and the place was then confiscated by the bank, little hope was left for selling the bath. Last year, however, finally someone bought it. The new owner is the Visegrád Lepence Völgy Strandfürdő Kft. – writes Termál Online.
The bath will be renovated, and a new pool is also in the plans. Accommodation is unlikely to be built according to the current plans. The project could be finished by the end of 2023, so the future visitors have to wait some time before planning a visit.
If everything goes as planned, 890 people can enjoy the outdoor pool, and 300 people can bathe in the indoor pool. Sauna, restaurant, and other recreational facilities are also part of the plan. There will be a parking lot near the bath as well.
This project could mean that Hungary will have another thermal bath in the future.
The venue where the bath and beach stand looks scenic. The investors, unfortunately, do not have information about the golden era of the beach, but there is a project manager in the team, who does. Although, the beach will not be entirely reconstructed based on its former look. The outdoor pool will be renovated, but new developments will be added as well. The investors want to make sure that the new beach and thermal bath will be unique with outstanding services. – one can say based on a former article on Termál Online.
Even though the tourism and hospitality sector were hit by the pandemic, this investment seems promising. According to Róbert Vécsei, executive director of Visegrád Lepence Völgy Strandfürdő Kft, the coronavirus did not have a strong influence on the works of the development project.

Please define ‘astonishing’. Or better still, look it up in a quality dictionary like the OED. What is more astonishing is how silly some of the headlines in the DNH are.
