Brokerage scandal – Rogan submits bill on compensating Quaestor brokerage clients
Budapest (MTI) – Head of the ruling Fidesz party’s parliamentary group Antal Rogan submitted on Friday evening a bill to parliament on setting up a fund to compensate clients who suffered damages as a result of the bankruptcy of brokerage film Quaestor.
The bill affects transactions where the client paid for bonds issued by Quaestor Financial Hrurira and sold by Quaestor Securities Trading and Investment company.
According to the explanation of the bill, it orders the setting up of the Investor Protection Fund (Beva) that will compensate clients for damages up to 30 million forints (100,000 euros).
