Innovation: Explore Buda Castle District like never before with a new interactive website!

Change language:
The Buda Castle District has launched a brand new website that offers far more than just an information platform. The site aims to make exploring one of Hungary’s most important cultural centres a comfortable, enjoyable and seamless experience.
The site’s (www.budavaripalotanegyed.hu/en) biggest innovation is a modern, interactive map that helps users navigate the Buda Castle district’s winding streets and squares with ease. Whether you’re looking for a restroom, the nearest café or the most exciting sights, the new map provides real-time assistance. Visitors can also track temporary road closures and discover alternative routes resulting from ongoing improvements.
A complete visitor experience, all in one place
The website not only provides information about events and programmes in the Buda Castle district but also enables users to purchase tickets directly for the most popular attractions. According to Turizmus, registered users can access personalised features such as tailored programme recommendations, newsletter subscriptions, and a review of previous purchases to make future planning even easier.

The site details the iconic venues and cultural offerings of the Palace Quarter in the Buda Castle district. Information is available on the luxuriously restored St Stephen’s Hall, the historic De la Motte–Beer Palace, the cultural events of the VĂ¡rkert Bazaar, the Carmelite classical music concerts, and the exciting exhibitions of the YBL6 Art Space, among others. Visitors can also explore the current programmes of the district’s longstanding cultural institutions, including the National SzĂ©chĂ©nyi Library, the Hungarian National Gallery, and the Budapest History Museum.
