Budapest awaits! A heart-warming image film − VIDEO
“When we all make it through, Budapest awaits you,” encourages both city residents and tourists the new image film published by the Budapest Festival and Tourism Center.
The image film shared by Szeretlek Magyarország presents an unusual side of the Hungarian capital. The previously lively and bustling city is now empty, evoking a surreal feeling in the viewer. However, the streets, squares, and buildings are filled with hope and anticipation through the harmonious composition of music, dance, and light.

The iconic locations, such as the Buda Castle, the quiet Heroes’ Square, the Széchenyi Chain Bridge, or the Széchenyi Bath with its empty pools, are presented in the beautiful colours of sunrise.
János Feledi, a contemporary choreographer, and Miklós Lukács, a dulcimer artist, managed to fill the city with unique dynamics in the hope that the current state of danger will soon be replaced by the familiar and friendly bustle of Budapest.
Through this film, the Budapest Festival and Tourism Center wants to send a message to those who want to get the capital back as visitors or residents. The city is currently undergoing a process of rebirth, but it awaits everyone.
Two weeks ago, the Municipality of Budapest and the Budapest Festival and Tourism Center launched the #Light4U campaign to send a message to all citizens from empty hotel room windows. With the current video, they want to emphasise that we are the ones who make Budapest the special city we all know and love.
