Tickets available for the Budapest Classics Film Marathon starting next week

The Budapest Classics Film Marathon between 16 and 21 September (next Tuesday-Sunday) will offer open-air, free screenings as well as concerts, the National Film Institute (NFI) said on Monday.

Each evening, a popular film will be featured on a giant screen in front of St Stephen’s Basilica.

The Budapest Music Centre will screen The Voice of Silence, a series of silent films produced between 1906 and 1920, screened with a musical accompaniment by Kornél Fekete-Kovács, László GÅ‘z, Márton Fenyvesi and András Dés. It will also be screened at the French Institute on 21 September, with Darvas’s accompaniment.
The festival will also feature 26 closed screenings for children and screenings of cartoons.
