The show’s core setlist is expected to feature tracks from Kravitz’s twelfth studio album, “Blue Electric Light”, released last year. The musician recorded the album in the Bahamas and described his inspiration as: “This record is fun. A celebration. It’s simply positive. Passionate, sexual, spiritual. I’ve put everything I love into it. But fun is the key.”

Kravitz won his four Grammys between 1999 and 2002 in the Best Male Rock Vocal Performance category, thanks to classics such as “Fly Away”, “American Woman” and “Again”. His biggest hit, “Are You Gonna Go My Way”, is also certain to be part of the Budapest set.

Deep Purple: Returning to Hungary in October

Another cornerstone of rock history, British band Deep Purple, has also announced its return for 2026. The group, active for more than half a century, will perform at the Budapest Arena on 2 October as part of its European and UK tour, according to Népszava.

According to Live Nation’s statement, the tour will celebrate both the past and the future of rock, with rising British rock band Jayler joining them as special guests. Deep Purple has sold more than 100 million records worldwide and continues to command immense respect. “Smoke On The Water”, “Highway Star” and “Fireball” continue to inspire generations.

The band will once again feature three members from its golden era: vocalist Ian Gillan, bassist Roger Glover and drummer Ian Paice, who all remain active performers. They are joined by keyboardist Don Airey and guitarist Simon McBride in the current line-up. Deep Purple last played in Hungary in July 2023, also to a full house.

Two Legends, Two Arena Concerts

In 2026, Budapest will once again be an essential stop for some of the world’s biggest rock icons. Lenny Kravitz’s modern soul–rock energy and Deep Purple’s classic hard rock legacy evoke two very different eras of music – yet both acts are eagerly awaited by tens of thousands of Hungarian fans.

Advance ticket sales for both concerts will begin soon, so it’s worth preparing in good time.
