Budapest’s highest ice rink has been re-opened!
After last year’s great success, the unique ice terrace of Hotel President – Intermezzo Ice Terrace – has been re-opened this year as well. The extraordinary rooftop attraction can be enjoyed in the 5th district of Budapest from 18th November.
Every Sunday, Intermezzo Ice Terrace provides a unique winterly atmosphere with a breath-taking panorama on the top of Budapest. Entertainment is guaranteed thanks to the great party songs and the unmissable ski huts.
In 2018, Budapest’s highest ice rink was so popular that it was full throughout the whole season. Hotel President – located in Hold street (5th district of Budapest) – has exceeded all the expectations. Within a few months, nearly 10,000 people visited the unique Hungarian ice rink; still, this number is planned to be surpassed in 2019.
All generations can enjoy Intermezzo Ice Terrace; from skate fans to advent visitors – everyone can have fun thanks to the spectacular floodlights and unforgettable Christmas delicacies. Furthermore, during the romantic hours, guests can enjoy a stunning 360-degree panorama, thanks to the hotel’s central location offering views on such attractions as St. Stephen’s Basilica, the Parliament, the Royal Castle and the Citadel.
Based on its philosophy of innovativeness, Hotel President has come up with a novelty this year as well – guests can order their preferred food and beverages – including mulled wine, grog, grilles sausages etc. – in the unique ski huts; meanwhile, live music is provided by Be Massive DJs.
“The Hotel President team is extremely proud that – in addition to hotel guests satisfaction –  we can provide a recreational opportunity for local people as well, which is provided nowhere else in the city. Our purpose is to make our visitors say goodbye with happiness in their souls and smile on their faces; this is particularly important. This year, we are organising hut parties every Sunday, where guests can enjoy an amazing winterly atmosphere”– said András Csanádi, Hotel Manager.
As the Hungarian news portal Lokál reports, the 110 m2 large ice surface is made of synthetic environment-friendly polymers, which is a softer material than ice; therefore, the risk of injury is less.
The ice rink can be enjoyed by buying tickets at the reception; moreover, the unique rooftop terrace can be rented for parties (consultation in advance is needed).
