Budapest projects take gold at prestigious FIABCI World Real Estate Awards

Hungary is ready to build the future, with the necessary professional knowledge, social support and political will available, Regő Lanszki, a state secretary at the Construction and Transport Ministry, said on Tuesday at a press event of the Hungarian chapter of the International Real Estate Federation – FIABCI.

FIABCI awards

Lanszki said Hungarian contestants had secured three gold prizes and one silver one at the FIABCI International Real Estate Association’s world competition.

The Metrodom River residential park, built by Metrodom, won a gold medal, and the Waterfront City residential park, a project of Biggeorge Property, won a silver medal.

The first place in the heritage, restoration, conservation category was awarded to the renovation project of the Drechsler Palace, which was managed by QPR Properties, based on the design of the Bánáti and Hartvig architect office, with construction work from DVM Group.

The award for the best urban development project went to Liget Budapest.

Lanszki said that in addition to the professional recognition he considers it a national success that Hungary came first among European states in the competition and was third globally.

Metrodom residential park

In the first building of Metrodom Green, the newly completed homes with a living room and three bedrooms are now move-in ready. These apartments offer an ideal solution not only for couples preparing to start a family, but also for larger families or anyone seeking a more spacious living environment.

As a forward-thinking residential developer, Metrodom has successfully aligned with Western European urban living trends. The company’s residential parks offer much more than just apartments—they create vibrant communities with shared spaces and services that enhance everyday life and promote sustainability.

High quality is a hallmark of these turnkey homes. Premium finishes and carefully designed interior solutions are evident not only in the shared spaces and lobbies but also within the apartments themselves. Each home is equipped with a smart home system, providing residents with exceptional comfort—akin to a hotel-like experience. Whether working remotely or raising young children, residents can enjoy a lifestyle that is both convenient and future-ready.
