Attention: Budapest public transport schedule to change for Easter weekend and spring break

The Budapest Transport Centre (BKK) has announced several changes to the capitalโs public transport schedules over the Easter long weekend and during the spring school break.
Special timetables for the holidays
- On Thursday, 18 April, and from Tuesday to Friday, 22โ25 April, services will follow a school holiday schedule.
- On Good Friday (18 April), Easter Sunday (20 April) and Easter Monday (21 April), holiday or public holiday timetables will be in effect.
- On Saturday, 19 April and Saturday, 26 April, Saturday timetables will apply, while Sunday, 27 April will follow the regular Sunday schedule.
Temporary road closures during Easter processions
BKK warns that temporary traffic restrictions will be in place due to Easter religious processions on Saturday evening (19 April) and Sunday morning (20 April), affecting various parts of the city. Short delays are expected on some BKK routes during these times.
Affected areas include:
- Saturday evening: Batthyรกny Square, Kรณs Kรกroly Square in Kispest, the intersection of Kirรกly Street and Nagymezล Street in District VI, and Villรกnyi Road between Fadrusz Street and Tas vezรฉr Street in District XI.
- Sunday morning: Pasarรฉti Square, the Kรถles Street junction on Szentendrei Road, Petลfi Street in District XVIII, and several streets in Kelenvรถlgy, including Durรกnci, Alabรกstrom, Szรฉkelykapu, and Kecskemรฉti Jรณzsef Streets.
