Budapest’s brand new Madame Tussauds to open soon but for horror prices
Budapest’s brand new Madame Tussauds exhibition is to open in the downtown of the Hungarian capital soon. That will be the world’s first franchise Madame Tussauds. When we first wrote about the plans to open such an exhibition in Budapest in June 2021, the announced start date was early 2022. However, the grand opening was postponed to early 2023.
Based on their announcement, tickets are already on sale. Until 27 December, you can buy them for a discounted price. The Christmas VIP ticket for one person costs HUF 8,990 (EUR 22.16). VIP tickets for kids will be HUF 7,190 (EUR 17.72). However, a family ticket’s price (2 adults, 2 kids) is HUF 24,990 (EUR 60.36), and you can buy it online. The official ticket sale is to start on 17 February 2023.
Madame Tussauds Budapest will exhibit fifty wax figures of Hungarian and international relevance. However, their “identity” will be in secret until the grand opening.
The Hungarian organiser is the Dorottya Experience Ltd. Its owner is József Kreinbacher, a construction entrepreneur and champagne maker, one of the wealthiest Hungarians.
