Budapest’s iconic light tram is back on track! – Photos
The Advent Light Trams have become an indispensable part of Budapest in just a few years. The tram used to run on only one line, but now it runs on several lines to take the Christmas lights into the winter evenings. Even though celebrations this year will be different, try to catch the light tram, which is operating between November 26th and January 6th! ?
The public transport vehicle lit up by LED lights has truly become an integral part of the Advent period in Budapest. It will be an unforgettable experience both for those riding on it and those walking along the Danube.
In line with the imposed restrictions, the trams are available from 3pm and depart between 7 and 7.30 pm for their last scheduled ride. After 8 pm, the light-electric tram goes into the garage. Please plan your trip so that you can get home during the curfew. According to karacsonyszeretlek.hu, it is mandatory to use the mask on the tram and it is recommended that you use earlier departure times to avoid congestion.
