Budapest’s newest luxury hotel opens its doors

W Hotels Budapest, the newest luxury accommodation in Budapest, has opened in the centre of the Hungarian capital with more than 150 rooms.

A member of W Hotels Worldwide, the hotel is located in the Drechsler Palace, formerly home to the Ballet Institute. The 151-room hotel includes suites and three gastronomic concepts.

The hotel was designed by London Bowler James Brindley and Hungarian interior designers Bánati + Hartvig.

The 151 guest rooms include 45 suites. On the fifth floor of the W Hotel Budapest, the unique wood-centric style is in perfect sync with the palace’s original, restored roof terrace. The hotel’s connection to the ballet is provided by the all-black Extreme WOW Suite and the white WOW Suite, which pay homage to the famous ballet work Swan Lake. In addition to the restaurant and bar, portolio.hu mentions that the hotel also features a number of meeting and event rooms, as well as a five-room spa.
