Located in the third district, the Roman Beach (Római-parti Plázs) is the main attraction of the summer. After nearly half a century, the free Danube beach reopens this year.
According to obuda.hu, the beach will be open from 15 July to 21 August. In case of good weather and water quality, this free beach offers a perfect refuge from the heat.
Free drinking water and toilet use
As liner.hu write, the Roman Beach provides free drinking water for visitors. Now that the temperature is extremely high, this service can come in handy. In addition, beach-goers can use the nappy changing table, shower and colourful sun loungers free of charge. Those who come by bike can leave their vehicles at the free bike storage.

Safe swimming
For the first time in the history of the beach, the Danube Coast First Aid Service of the Hungarian Red Cross will ensure safety. On 28 June, they held the final day of preparation. They have toured the entire area and gone through a series of situational exercises. With the area being supervised, the Roman Beach is not only fun but also a safe place. It is important to mention, however, that bathing is only possible in the bathing area designated by the buoys during opening hours. Therefore, bathing in the designated area must be carried out in accordance with strict safety regulations and within the buoy line indicating a water depth of 120 cm.
