Cancelled Hollywood Vampires concert: Johnny Depp returns to Hungary!

The Hollywood Vampires (Johnny Depp, Alice Cooper and Joe Perry) would have performed in Budapest last week but cancelled the event. According to media information, they did so because Depp was unwell and passed out before the concert. The Hungarian organisers hoped they can establish a new show later.

No concert, no clear explanation

As we reported before, the band would have performed in Budapest’s Papp László Sport Arena, but the band cancelled the concert because Johnny Depp passed out so badly that a doctor had to be called to his hotel room. The last minute call-off generated anger since the arena was full with fans who paid tremendous money for the show.

“Everything was set, the stage was set, and the backstage crew was ready for the party. It didn’t even occur to me that there could be a problem, especially as the band members had done the sound set-up that had been scheduled for the afternoon. No one thought any more about the fact that Johnny Depp didn’t take part, his microphone was set up by a staff member, but that’s not unusual for such stars,” an usher told Blikk.

Later, they cancelled their concert in Slovakia. According to the announcement by the band, the venue was unfit for them to perform. The trend broke in Poland, where they stood on stage two days later. Furthermore, the manager promised they would finish their European tour and go to Germany. And they did so.
