Changing of the Guards in the Buda Castle
Visitors can enjoy the Changing of the Guards which is accompanied by music in the Buda Castle and the military square music at the heart of Budapest, the Ministry of Defence informed MTI.
The spectacular ceremony will be made to the general public in the Buda Castle from spring to autumn once a month. The joint performance of the Hungarian Defence Forces ‘Vitéz Sándor Szurmay’ and the Budapest Corpse of Drums was scheduled to take place for the first time this year on Saturday at midday at the Sándor Palace.
In addition, in each month until October, the Budapest Corpse of Drums is entertaining the public with its performances in the centre of Budapest. For the first time this year, tourists and music lovers can enjoy these performances on 26 April from 11.15 am at the St. Stephen’s Basilica.
The Ministry of Defence highlighted that their aim is to promote the Hungarian military music culture.
