Chinese-Hungarian defense strategic dialogue annual meeting was held in Beijing
Secretary for Policy and Planning Péter Siklós led the Hungarian military delegation that visited China between September 21 – 23; this was the second meeting between the two countries’ defense ministries held annually. The first meeting was held in 2014 in Hungary.
The two sides reviewed current world issues and bilateral military relations, particularly with regard to possibilities of developing closer cooperation in the field of education and training. The two sides also exchanged views on major security issues.
The Hungarian deputy-secretary met the defense minister of the People’s Republic of China as well.
Both sides praised cooperation between the two countries and expressed their views that the meeting was extremely useful as progress was made in many areas of bilateral military relations between the two friendly countries.
