Clearer sytem comes for online buyers
According to the new regulations, a webshop customer will have 14 days – instead of the recent 8 days – to undo the buying without having any fault in the item.
New regulations will be applied from the 15th of March in online shopping:
- You will have 14 days to undo the purchase and send back the item, bought online, if you are not satisfied. If the company didn’t state this opportunity clearly on the purchase confirmation page, you will have a 12 months period to undo.
- From the time of receiving the claim document (from the buyer) of sending-back, the seller will have also 14 days to send back the price and the shipping fees: the seller has to pay only a normal-priced shipping fee – independently how much this did cost for the customer.
- The company has to state well-visibily that there is an obligation to pay after you have clicked the ’confirm the order’ button:you cannot undo in this period.
- The company has to indicate its server’s contact informations. Calling the shop’s phone number has to be normal-priced.
Everything has to be clearly stated, otherwise the purchase agreement will be invalid.
These changes will be in force from the 13th of June 2014, so the shops will have the time for rearranging their sites and working conditions.
