Fundamental change: cold conquers Hungary with possible snowfall!
After the heat records we experienced in February and a trend of continuously rising temperatures, fundamental change is here. It seems this year’s hot spring will be interrupted by an immense cold front, bringing even snowfall to Hungary.
According to idokep.hu, a Hungarian weather forecast news outlet, a cold front will bring freezing temperatures and even snow to some places in Hungary. Based on the reports of meteorologists, the cold will arrive tomorrow afternoon.
Thermometres will show 16-21 degrees tomorrow in the early afternoon, but with the arrival of the cold front, those maximums will decrease to only 10 degrees. You may find a shocking WRF animation showing the considerable change in THIS article, please, scroll down a bit to reach it.
Cold front expected in Hungary
Furthermore, strong winds are expected, which will further reduce our heating comfort.
By Sunday, we can say goodbye to the maximums around 20 degrees. In most parts of the country, the daily maximum will not exceed 7-13 °C. In the mountains, even snowfalls may take place.
