Budapest is full of possibilities thanks to all those international hotel chains that are present in the country. Whether you arrive with your partner, your family, or on your own, you can quickly find the most convenient solution based on your interests or the purpose of your stay. If this purpose happens to be business, we have good news.
The Crowne Plaza Budapest, belonging to IHG Hotels and Resorts, officially opened its gates for the public on Wednesday.
The hotel is situated in the city centre, in the building of the Westend City Centre shopping complex, right next to Nyugati railway station. Following a management agreement between InterContinental Hotels Group and Granit Polus Group, who owns the building, the former Hilton Budapest West End hotel officially became the Crowne Plaza Budapest.
The 230 fully equipped rooms and 13 event and meeting rooms
not only give a premium experience but guarantee all business services you might need.
A so-called “soft opening” took place this week, which means that the first phase of the reconstruction works was concluded, making the first two floors accessible to guests. Apart from the bedrooms and meeting rooms, the
speciality café, Axis Café and Lounge already welcomes both locals and foreigners.
The complete building with all its features and services will be finalised in December. That is when the rest of the meeting rooms, event rooms, and ballrooms will also be accessible. Furthermore, a community area called the Club Lounge giving a fantastic view of the city, and the hotel’s other restaurant with a huge roof terrace, the Cult, will both open.
Even though the whole project is not yet finalised, there is everything a travelling business person could need for his work. The
spacious and bright rooms with a super king-sized bed and the bathrooms equipped with both a shower and a bathtub offering a spa-like experience
will help you to make the most out of your free time. Moreover, the hotel’s Sleep Advantage program makes sure you have a well-deserved good night rest, thanks to the acoustic solutions of the double-glassed windows, the room darkening system, and the aromatherapeutic techniques.
When you are well-rested and ready to take on the day and your tasks, the co-working spaces of the lobby and its wonderful decoration, thanks to the contribution of contemporary artists, will surely create the most creative circumstances.
To help you achieve this, the excellent and friendly staff will go above and beyond to provide the best services. They will immediately serve you the most nourishing dishes prepared with local, sustainable, and healthy ingredients. If you get thirsty, you can choose from a wide variety of delicious local fruit-infused drinks, beers, or Hungarian wines. In case you need some caffeine, a real delicacy awaits you.
The coffee offered in the hotel comes from a farm in Costa Rica, whose owner has Hungarian origins.
“Our philosophy says that a business trip is a social interaction and experience, where we pay special attention to quality sleep, a healthy lifestyle and foods, cultural experience, and the connections among people”, said Maurice Janssen, manager of the Crowne Plaza Budapest at the special opening.
