Defence Minister Hende meets new US ambassador
Budapest, January 26 (MTI) – Colleen Bell, the United States’s new ambassador to Hungary, has made an introductory visit to Defence Minister Csaba Hende, the ministry told MTI in a statement on Monday.
Parties at the talks reviewed Hungary’s defence priorities and plans, as well as opportunities to further develop defence cooperation between the two countries, the document said.
Bell thanked Hungary for its participation in international missions and spoke highly of bilateral cooperation in defence, especially in the area of cooperation between special forces. She also stressed the importance of increasing defence spending, the statement said.
Bell took up her post in Budapest last week.
