Delegation from Susha’s twin city in Hungary visits Azerbaijan
A delegation of the Hungarian city of Gyongyos, a twin city of Azerbaijan’s Shusha is visiting Azerbaijan, Embassy of Azerbaijan to Hungary told Trend on Friday.
It should be noted that the Azerbaijani city of Shusha is under Armenian occupation.
According to the Azerbaijani Embassy, the Hungarian delegation, headed by the Mayor of Gyongyos, Laszlo Farago, includes representatives of local businesses, artists and journalists.
During the five-day visit, they will meet with the leadership of the Executive Power of Shusha and famous citizen’s of the city. The Hungarian delegation will also get acquainted with the lifestyle of Shusha refugees, who have been settled in different parts of Azerbaijan.
It should be noted that after signing a twin-city agreement on May 9, 2013, the leadership of Gyongyos faced strong pressure from the Armenian diaspora in Hungary.
According to Trend.az, Currently, work is underway to establish a permanent Shusha exhibition at the Gyongyos city museum. At the same time, Shusha refugee’s education opportunities at the Gyongyos Agrarian University are being considered.
