Dramatic video: a car collided with a herd of deer

A car’s on-board camera captured a horrific accident: a herd of deer ran across the road and one of the animals ran straight into a vehicle.

On Friday morning, six deer tried to run across the road at km 146 of the main road 6 between Szekszárd and Kakasd, but unfortunately not all of them succeeded, says the Baleset-info portal.

One of the animals was hit by a passing car, but escaped the accident relatively lucky, because it flew into the ditch, but was able to run on.

The animal that followed was not so lucky: it skidded, hit its head on the car, and died instantly.

The other four animals managed to avoid the collision. The car’s airbags deployed, so no injuries were sustained. The driver of the Seat had previously encountered this herd of deer, so he reduced the speed of the car and then tried to warn other motorists of the danger by activating the hazard warning lights.
