Economy ministry: Budget deficit on target
Budapest (MTI) – Tax receipts are on course to reach their target, and this year’s budget deficit will either hit the 2.4 percent target or come in below it, an economy ministry official said on Monday.
Peter Beno Banai, economy ministry state secretary in charge of fiscal policy, said in a background briefing to journalists that “it can be safely said” that personal income tax, VAT and corporate income tax are all on track, “so much so that it is expected that revised budget revenues for this year will be exceeded.”
