Egypt celebrates its National Day in Budapest
The Embassy of Egypt in Budapest organised a diplomatic event on 3 July to celebrate the Egyptian National Day.
The diplomatic community in Hungary gathered at the residence of His Excellency Ambassador Mohamed El Shinawy to celebrate the National Day of the Arab Republic of Egypt. In his welcoming speech, the Ambassador underlined the excellence of Egyptian-Hungarian relations and said that in the future, the two countries could develop an even stronger economic relationship.
On behalf of the Hungarian government, Minister of Defence Kristóf Szalay-Bobrovniczky welcomed the participants and pointed out that the two governments share common positions on many issues and that he will soon visit Egypt to consult with his counterpart in the military field.
During the rest of the evening, Egyptian food was sampled and some traditional songs were performed live.
