Electronic invoice reporting to become mandatory from mid-2017
Budapest, August 23 (MTI) – Electronic reporting of invoices with a tax content over 100,000 forints (EUR 323) will be required by the national tax office (NAV) as of July next year, daily Magyar IdÅ‘k said on Tuesday.
NAV has already started necessary IT developments, the paper said.
Csilla Czinege, the economy ministry’s deputy state secretary, told the paper that the system would be linked to an existing one used by road haulage companies. It will allow the National Tax and Customs Office (NAV) to root out irregularities immediately, she added.
The introduction of the invoice reporting is a further measure aimed at whitening the economy, she said.
