Warm and sunny All Saints’ weekend ahead in Hungary: cemeteries open longer, public transport reinforced

Hungary is set to enjoy an unusually warm and pleasant All Saints’ weekend, with temperatures reaching up to 24°C in some parts of the country, according to forecasts by the Hungarian Meteorological Service (met.hu) and Időkép.

Sunny, mild weather for All Saints’ Day

After the morning fog and low clouds clear, most regions can expect sunny skies with only some thin cirrus clouds. No rainfall is expected anywhere in the country. Slightly thicker clouds may pass over the western border region and parts of northeastern Hungary, but otherwise the weather will remain bright and dry throughout Saturday.

A southerly wind will pick up across Transdanubia, occasionally becoming stronger in the northwestern counties, while elsewhere it will stay light to moderate. Afternoon highs will range between 18 and 24°C, although the northeastern counties might be a few degrees cooler.

By late evening, temperatures will drop to between 7 and 15°C, with colder dawns possible on calm, clear Sunday mornings.

Last days of the “Indian summer”

The pleasant, unseasonably warm weather will continue through the weekend, creating ideal conditions for cemetery visits and outdoor activities. The first weekend of November will bring daytime highs between 13 and 22°C, with slightly cooler air in the north and northeast.

According to Időkép, a cold front is expected to arrive on Monday, bringing a noticeable drop in temperatures — as low as 10°C in western Hungary — while the eastern part of the country will remain about ten degrees warmer.
