European Commission demands a further EUR 60 million from Hungary
The European Commission is tightening the screws on Hungary for failing to align its asylum laws with EU standards, as daily penalties pile up relentlessly.
European Commission issues further payment notice
As HVG writes, the European Commission has issued another payment notice to the Hungarian government, escalating its efforts to enforce compliance with a European Court of Justice ruling. The case dates back to December 2020, when the court found Hungary’s asylum legislation in violation of EU law and mandated its amendment. Hungary’s failure to comply has led to severe financial penalties: a EUR 200 million lump sum fine and a daily penalty of EUR 1 million, adding up to EUR 93 million monthly. These amounts are enforceable and may be deducted from EU payments to Hungary, though procedural challenges have arisen.
A growing debt
The latest notice sent out now corresponds to a two-monthly debt of one million euros, which means that the debt is billed until 14 November highlighting the mounting debt. In addition, the debt now grows by EUR 400 million daily. However, according to the European Commission, there is currently no Hungarian payment request that could cover this amount or even part of it. This impasse complicates efforts to deduct the penalties from other EU funds, intensifying pressure on the Hungarian government to address its legal obligations.

Military-age young men from thousands of miles away come illegally into other European countries, due to those countries’ governments’ steadfast refusal to stop them from entering. Many of them proceed to engage in wanton criminality, bring misery to the native populations, and occasion severe strain on public services.
Those other countries, as well as an international organization controlled by those countries but without any democratic mandate, demand Hungary take in tens, if not hundreds, of thousands of said invaders, accommodate them, and, basically, allow them to do to Hungary what they’ve done to the Western European countries.
Hungary says NO.
So, those countries proceed to punish Hungary financially (some of which being Hungary’s OWN money) and politically.

Is not the political devastation presently being seen in Germany, through the wrong immigration, the inviting and allowing of millions of immigrants / migrants into Germany, by there previous Chancellor – Angela Merkel, is this not the major reason for the “internal” political “blood bath” pulling Germany apart that have caused separation and “mounting” divisions in-side the population of Germany – near 85 million of them ?
Germany – got it WRONG.
They are paying a huge price for what occurred in the later part of Angela Merkel’s position as there Chancellor.
Prior to Merkel’s decision to virtually “flood” or suffocate Germany in increased immigration/migration number, there was history of an atmosphere in Germany, in its population, never at ease, never silent, on there Immigration/migration Policy.
Merkel – awoken or “lit the fuse” that to-day we see the eruption politically occurring inside Germany that will have increased deepening consequences.
Germany, the aftermath from this time of political turmoil of which has longevity to find a place of balance inside the population of Germany has happened through unjustified and unwarranted – Immigration and Migration policies, under the Chancellorship of Angela Merkel.
It will bring a Chancellor down.
Germany – the “Powerhouse ” of Europe.
We watch and see through the Merkel decision(s) on immigration / migration just what can and the worsening effects this will “invade” infest into Germany.
DOES – this not add enormous pressure on the European Union the largest member in the 27 country’s that are the Membership of the European Union, does this Germany “scene” give a clear picture what can go awfully wrong in a country, through “undisciplined” policy’s of Immigration / Migration ?

God HELP us – if the “idiotic” thought process, in the commentary submitted by Janos was to be “taken up” – re-electing again, at the National voting in 2026 – by the already SMASHED and CRUSHED millions growing of Hungarians, placed there, by the “Heinous” led Orban – Fidesz Government of Hungary, after 16 years in Government.
In there still with the “no brainers” in civilian life in Hungary, is this belief that Hungary can operate as a separate entity.
Hungary – in recession again, a balance sheet that looks like it’s “fast tracking” towards insolvency, that worsens monthly.
Orban – the Fidesz Government – are cornered, no options to make any decisions Financially and Economically, to bring about a sign of stability in Hungary.
Orban – the Fidesz Government – a DEBT “infested” Government, that the DEBT they have growing – the debt of the tax payers of Hungary – Gargantuan.
The Orban – Fidesz Government Debt – the tax payers DEBT, is on the cusp of being un-serviceable by the Government.
Remember it GROWS massively DAILY.
Orban – the Fidesz Government, we are seeing clearly in there PROMISES – they are and will be – Robbing Peter to Give to Paul.
Promises they are making, are not going to come about by REVENUE injection nor GROWTH in the Economy, as that’s a near impossibility, under the Orban / Varga – ” FAILED ” economics and financial policy’s.
The impact on the SICKENING, repulsive – un-accepted state of the Hungarian economy, those AGAIN, who are in for a BATTERING are the civilians of Hungary, in millions.
Gullibility – “sucked in” – to such LOST ideas and political philosophy, inclusive no doubt of there own ideology, what is contributed by Janos and Michael Steiner – would sent Hungary – in an economy already tracking to a collapsed position that would FIRMLY place it, into being a PERILOUS state.
Mindboggling – the comments I refer that FEED right into the COLLAPSE financially and economically of Hungary.
