Exhibition on Taiwan’s tea cult to open in Hungary
Szolnok, January 4 (MTI) – Taiwan’s history and culture, the island’s traditional tea types and their consumption and trade will be presented in an international exhibition to open in Szolnok, in central Hungary, on January 27.
The exhibition dubbed Formosa’s Golden Treasure: Taiwan Through a Cup of Tea will present unique objects from several Hungarian museums, as well as ceramics from the New Taipei City Yingge Ceramics Museum and Chinese porcelains from the local Damjanich János Museum, one of the show’s curators Krisztina Hoppál told MTI on Wednesday.
A series of events will accompany the exhibition to run through April 28, including multilingual lectures and presentations, tea ceremonies, documentary film screenings, panel discussions and activities for students.
