According to bkk.hu, the modern transport history of Budapest goes back more than a century. Almost all of the iconic examples of Hungarian vehicle manufacture have been on the streets of Budapest, many of which have been successfully rescued and restored in recent years.

These unique-looking vehicles, representing different eras and once part of everyday life in Budapest, have been available for regular nostalgia trips during the summer season for the last 12 year. During the nostalgia season, which lasts from May to October, visitors can travel back in time on the Danube Bank with tram N19.

The popularity of nostalgia and retro services is demonstrated by the fact that thousands of passengers took them last season.
