F1 Hungarian Grand Prix: Hungaroring train tickets, higher capacity rail services
The Formula 1 Hungarian Grand Prix is approaching. Thus, the Hungarian State Railways, MÁV, is launching more and higher-capacity services. It is also launching single-price tickets for the Formula 1 Hungarian Grand Prix, MÁV Zrt. told MTI on Saturday. The event will be held between 21 and 23 July.
More frequent services, Hungaroring tickets
According to the announcement, under the agreement with the Hungaroring, the MÁV-VOLÁN Group will help visitors to get to and from the Hungaroring as smoothly as possible. The MÁV-START Gödöllő services will be operated with KISS and FLIRT Multiple Units, the MÁV-HÉV services will be supplemented with more coaches, and Volánbusz will operate free special buses.
In order to facilitate ticket changes, fixed-price tickets will also be introduced for the affected scheduled services of MÁV-START, MÁV-HÉV and Volánbus. The one-way “Hungaroring jegy” (Hungaroring ticket) and the return “Hungaroring flexijegy” (Hungaroring flexi-ticket) can be purchased in advance, they underscored.
As we reported earlier, new daily tickets have been introduced by MÁV. You can read about them HERE.
A ride to the Hungaroring will be extremely expensive
Bolt will be the official delivery partner for the Formula 1 Hungarian Grand Prix. The company has previously revealed how much a ride from Budapest to Mogyoród (the settlement where the race track is located) will cost.
The Formula 1 race weekend attracts huge crowds to the Hungarian capital every year. Last year, for example, nearly 300,000 people visited the Mogyoród track over four days. This year’s Sunday race is expected to be a sell-out as well, hvg.hu reported.
For those who would like to take a taxi to the Hungaroring, Bolt recommends ordering from around busy hubs. This gives you a better chance of finding a free vehicle within a few minutes.
The fare depends on the departure point and traffic. However, it will cost around HUF 14-18,000 (EUR 36.38-46.77) from the Buda side and HUF 13-16,000 (EUR 33.78-41.57) from the city centre. The average journey time is 30-40 minutes.
