Financial Times: Corvinus University of Budapest is among the best in Europe

The Financial Times has ranked European best business schools again this year, with Corvinus University of Budapest being the only Hungarian entrant.

To showcase the quality of European business education, the Financial Times compiles an annual list of the top 90 European business schools, in which Corvinus University of Budapest is regularly included.

This year, Corvinus was the only Hungarian institution to be ranked 89th in the illustrious ranking. Only one university each from Austria, the Czech Republic, Poland, and Slovenia from the Central European region was included in the ranking, with French, British, and German schools making up almost half of the total.

The French HEC Paris, the British London Business School and the Spanish-American-German IESE Business School are at the top of the list.

“Corvinus’ good ranking in the European top list shows that our programmes are outstanding, not only in the domestic field but also internationally. This is important professional feedback that Corvinus is a good place to study, teach, and research. Our achievement in the ranking gives us further impetus to continue our efforts to renew and internationalise our educational offer,”

said Lajos Szabó, acting rector of Corvinus.

The rankings were compiled from the Financial Times’ MBA, Executive MBA, and Masters in Management lists, taking into account non-degree executive courses as well. The list measures career progression, salary levels, diversity of faculty and students by gender and nationality, and climate change education. The data was provided by schools and their alumni.
