Massive fire in Budapest: Flames spread across 500 square metres! – VIDEOS

On Sunday afternoon, thick smoke covered part of Budapest as flames broke out in Angyalföld, near Balzsam Street and Kámfor Street, close to the Angyalföld railway station. According to the disaster management authorities, railway sleepers caught fire over an area of around 500 square metres, producing several-meter-high flames and dense black smoke.
Several firefighting units rushed to the scene. They initially battled the blaze with two hoses, then three, and later with as many as seven water jets. By around 4 PM, authorities confirmed that the fire had been contained, preventing it from spreading further, 24.hu reports.
The massive column of smoke was visible from afar across Budapest. Many residents shared photos and videos of the incident, showing the railway sleepers burning intensely while firefighters worked continuously to bring the flames under control.
