First Lady pays charity visit to Transcarpathia
Velyka Dobron, Ukraine, December 16 (MTI) – Hungary’s First Lady Anita Herczegh visited Velyka Dobron (Nagydobrony) in Ukraine’s Transcarpathia province and handed over a donation of 19 tonnes of flour to religious schools, children’s homes and a charity organisation on Wednesday.
Herczegh, who has visited the region for the second time this year, said her presence was to demonstrate “how important the people living here are to us”. Transcarpathia’s ethnic Hungarian community is a priority for the Hungarian government and “can continue to rely on its help in future,” the First Lady said.
The donated flour was collected in the Bread of the Hungarians programme earlier this year.
