Péter Szijjártó, Hungary’s minister of foreign affairs and trade, met Amir Ohana, the Speaker of the Israeli parliament, in New York late on Thursday.
“The success of the anti-terrorism operation in Gaza is an international interest, as it would guarantee that such an attack will never happen anywhere in the world,” Szijjártó told Ohana, according to a ministry statement.
Szijjártó said the opening of a second front should be avoided at all cost. The spread of the conflict to neighbouring Lebanon should be prevented as it would have “tragic consequences” for the entire region, he said.
Ohana thanked Hungary’s support of Israel, its continued blocking of European Union sanctions against Israeli settlers, and that Hungary maintains its Israel-friendly policies and stands by a fair approach to the state, Szijjártó said.
Szijjártó slammed a “long-standing bias and unfair treatment of Israel in international organisations”.

Anti-Semitism has grown in western Europe and the United States since the terrorist attack by Hamas on Israel on Oct 7, “to an outrageous, brutal degree”, he said. “Dozens of violent protests have been held” in the US, he said. “I hope the US Department of State will now stop preparing reports on religious freedom in other countries.”
Similar acts “are unacceptable and unimaginable” in Hungary, he said. Hungary has zero tolerance for anti-Semitism, and protests in favour of terrorist organisations are not allowed, he said.
He said Hungary was one of the safest place for Jewish communities worldwide, where noone was discriminated against based on communities they belonged to.
The spread of modern-age anti-Semitism in western Europe and the US “is not surprising; it is a consquence of illegal migration, and Hungary has warned of that multiple times,” he said. “Parallel societies have formed in Europe, aggressive immigrants are forcing their will on the silent majority living there, and unfortunately they are the ones bringing anti-Semitism with them,” Szijjártó said.

what about illegal settlements ? is this guy supporting that? is this guy supporting russian annexation? did anyone said double standards ?
All EU nations should support Israel. Dear Mr. Hernandez, there were no illegal settlements in Gaza. In 2005, all Israeli’s were removed from Gaza, the Jewish people left behind hot housed and other infra structures. There are a few settlements in the West Bank.
Why has hamas from Gaza attacked Israel and murdered over 1200 people, beheaded babies and raped women? Mr. Hernandez it is time for you to realize that Israel must eliminate hamas and hamas supporting palastinians to stop the attacks from Gaza.
As far as settlements in the West Bank go, it is time for the leader of the West Bank to talk to President Netanyahu and find a political solution.
It is time to admit that any country that contributed to UN, eventually to ANWRA is complicit in the murder of the Israelis. The money from the UN went for weapons for hamas and the building of tunnels.
The anti-Israelis should also realize that the people of Gaza would have had a worst life if Israel did not provide them with electricity, clean water and jobs.
