Hungary and Germany have a mutual interest in each other’s success in the digital transformation of the economy, Foreign Minister Péter Szijjártó said on Friday after talks with representatives of large companies and interest representation organisations from Baden-Wuerttemberg.
Baden-Wuerttemberg is the second most important economic partner state for Hungary in Germany, with companies such as Daimler, Bosch and others employing tens of thousands of Hungarians, Szijjártó told MTI by phone after the talks in Stuttgart.
It is therefore important to “seek answers together” to the challenges of “the new era of the global economy” which has started with digital transformation, he said.
“Germany’s flagship companies in digital transformation” all have significant facilities in Hungary and plan to further expand them, he said.
As a result, “the success of Hungary and Germany mutually depend on each other” in digital transformation, he added.
