Hungarian government content that fuel retailers voluntarily reduced fuel prices
The government welcomes fuel retailers’ understanding and acceptance of the government’s intentions and their decision to voluntarily reduce fuel prices, the national economy minister said on Facebook on Tuesday.
“Hungarian oil and gas company Mol cut diesel and petrol prices by 10 forints on Monday. That is another step in the right direction, bringing us closer to the regional average,” Márton Nagy said in a video on Facebook.
“We have cut petrol prices by 16 forints compared with the peak period in April, and diesel prices by 41 forints compared with the peak period in February,” he said.
The government will table the issue of fuel prices at the cabinet meeting next week, he added.
