Government halves energy prices in this sector in Hungary
Based on the relevant statement of Hungary’s Energy Ministry, the government is to halve gas prices in the non-residential sector.
According to index.hu, the prices for institutional consumers have were halved in January. Now, that measure continues. As a result, the non-residential sector will pay a quarter of the 2022 December prices for gas. The measure will enter into effect from 1 October, and will concern local governments, public institutions and businesses.
MVM Group promised that in the new gas year starting this October all producers will have enough gas. The government claims they grant Europe’s lowest gas and electricity prices for Hungarian families. Energy prices for the families will not change in the new gas year, they added.
