Budapest (MTI) – The government on Tuesday submitted to parliament a set of proposals concerning child welfare.
The proposal calls for the state to provide free meals for children at nurseries and creches and for local councils to be responsible for financing free meals for children from low-income families during the summer school holidays. It would also expand child care benefits under the “gyed extra” programme and include early infant educators in the teachers’ career path model.
