A migrant wanted to escape to Hungary on the top of a train but died

A migrant got a lethal electric shock at the train station in Szabadka on Friday. He supposedly wanted to enter the European Union on the top of an international train going to Hungary, hirfroccs.hu told.

According to the local press, the 25-30 year old man died when he tried to jump over, from the top of the international train, to the top of a freight train. He likely wanted to get across the other train because his hiding place had been discovered – MTI correspondent got informed from an unofficial source.

Neither the police nor the CSI have commented the incident so far.

Szabadka is the last stop of the international train going to Hungary from Serbia, before the European Union. The train heading to Budapest could start only after the crime scene was investigated.

Hirfroccs.hu told that migrants appeared in greater numbers again on the Serbian-Hungarian border; they damaged the border lock and wanted to enter Hungary by cutting a hole on the lock.
