Hollywood stars in Budapest
2016 won’t be the first year when directors and actors are shooting in Budapest. The Hungarian capital is favoured by movie stars and directors alike, and it can easily happen that a famous actor or actress is walking down the streets of Budapest. Welovebudapest.com collected the stars we should watch out for in Budapest in 2016.
Ryan Gosling
Ryan Gosling is loved by countless women all over the world (while he is said to be a faithful husband and a great father), and he’s coming to Budapest to shoot parts of Blade Runner 2. Gosling is rumoured to be
a jazz lover, so maybe instead of partying he’ll just sit in one of the jazz clubs and enjoy the music.
Harrison Ford
Although Harrison Ford is already 73 years old, he’s still great in the new Star Wars movie. Ford is also coming to Budapest to shoot Blade Runner 2, and those who’d love to see him may have better chances if they frequently visit Mexican bars and restaurants, because the actor loves Mexican food.
Ridley Scott
Ridley Scott, director of Blade Runner 2, has countless great movies such as the Blade Runner, Alien, Thelma and
Louis, Gladiator, Hannibal, or Prometheus. Parts of The Martian were also shot in Budapest and Ridley Scott loved the city so much that he decided to shoot several parts of the new Blade Runner here, as well.
Rosamund Pike
Most people know Rosamund Pike from the movie Gone Girl directed by David Fincher. The actress plays Lina Heydrich in the upcoming World War Two movie HHHH, which is partly shot in Hungary.
Charlize Theron
Charlize Theron is already in Budapest because some parts of The Coldest City will be shot here. The movie takes place in the time before the Berlin wall was demolished and Budapest will appear in several scenes. Theron has already arrived to Budapest and was recently seen in the French restaurant SiTu on Kazinczy street. She was also nice enough to let the crew take a picture with her.
