Brutal homicide: Man kills woman with a bludgeon and injures several people in Hungary – PHOTOS

Locals claim the perpetrator was under the influence of drugs, but the police only discussed the facts without mentioning the reasons. The 31-year-old man went on a rampage in a small shop in Fonó, a small village in Somogy County, and killed a woman in her 40s with a bludgeon. He also injured two other passers-by. Then, he attempted to flee using the victim’s car.
Terrible murder with a bludgeon
According to police.hu, a man attacked an employee of a small shop in Fonyód and two pedestrians around 5 PM on Friday, 14 March. Due to the brutal assault, the female shop assistant lost her life at the scene, while the other two victims were taken to the hospital with severe injuries. A 60-year-old woman suffered life-threatening injuries, and a customer was hospitalised with a broken arm.

The 31-year-old attacker tried to flee towards Siófok or Dombóvár but was involved in an accident near Kiliti at 8:30 PM. After receiving medical treatment, he was taken into custody, and the police requested his detention. In connection with the horrific events, the Somogy County Police Headquarters’ Criminal Directorate has launched a criminal procedure for murder.


Drugs or assaulted relative?
According to local media outlet Somogy Online, some locals believe the perpetrator was under the influence of drugs. Others speculate that a relative of his was assaulted prior to the rampage. Neither of these alleged reasons has been confirmed by the police.
