Horror: a 13-year-old girl was pulled off her bike and raped by a young man

A 19-year-old man in Meggyeskovácsi, Vas County, raped a 13-year-old minor after following her to a deserted dirt road outside the village.

The horrific incident happened a few days ago. A local lad followed a young minor to a deserted area where he forced himself on her.  The victim first tried to push and kick the rapist off of her, but all her attempts were in vain. The perpetrator managed to turn her on her stomach and pressed her legs down hard so she couldn’t escape.

It was only the next day that the girl plucked up her courage to confide in someone close. According to a the local newspaper Vaol, the scared child first confessed to one of her friends and then turned to her parents for help. On Tuesday morning, she and her mother went to the Markusovszky Hospital in Szombathely to request an examination, necessary to file a complaint. According to the medical staff, the girl looked visibly distressed. Neither she nor her 15-year-old brother have been to school this week, as she’s reluctant to leave the house. Her mother says she’s rather withdrawn and does not make friends easily. On top of that, she is fighting with a chronic illness and needs to attend regular check-ups. The mother also said that she did not allow her daughter to stay in the hospital, which is why she was reported. The children are, according to her, in the care of the guardianship authorities.

“On Sunday morning, my little girl went for a bike ride, and the rapist followed her and caught up with her on the dirt road leading to a field on the other side of the village, at the bus turnaround. Our daughter tried to defend herself, but the man grabbed her from behind. She tried to break free before he turned her on her stomach and pressed her legs down. They knew each other, it was the brother of my son’s friend. There was no indication that he was up to something. He always seemed decent and helpful. Little did we know he was capable of such an appalling act. When I questioned him the next afternoon in the playground, he said he was drunk and couldn’t think clearly. He didn’t apologise as he said everything was a haze when he tried to remember of the previous day. He just simply shrugged it off, saying what happened can’t be undone,” the girl’s mother told vaol.hu.

Understandably, the event outraged the entire village. One of the locals said the followings to the reporter of Tények:

“the girl went down some nearby dirt road and he followed her. I think he must have picked her a while ago and planned it all beforehand… Such a disgrace! If she was my daughter, I’d have chopped his d.ck off or murdered him. I mean it,” said a local woman outraged.

Many people in the village know the attacker and his family closely and simply cannot grasp how this could have happened.

“The parents are good people… Whether it was his upbringing or his folks didn’t pay enough attention to him at home, I can’t tell,” said another resident.

If the attacker is convicted, he will face a long time in prison.
