Chilling discovery: horror bakery uncovered in Hungary – photos, video

Change language:
The National Food Chain Safety Office uncovered a horror bakery in Tiszavasvár in appalling condition: damaged and filthy flooring, cobweb-covered, grimy walls and equipment, heaps of dirt, and incomplete documentation. The authorities immediately suspended its operations. No fines have been issued yet, so it remains unclear when the business might reopen, but the released video reveals a distressingly neglected environment.
Hundreds of kilograms of food thrown out
The National Food Chain Safety Office (Nébih) promptly halted the horror bakery’s activity due to the severe hygiene failings posing a significant food safety risk. Around 207 kilograms of food were removed from circulation, the authority announced to the Hungarian News Agency (MTI) on Monday.

During the inspection, Nébih officers discovered damaged and contaminated floors in several areas, along with walls and equipment stained and covered in cobwebs. Large numbers of insect carcasses were visible near the windows, and peeling paint was evident on the walls and ceilings of the production rooms.
