Huge success of Hungarian designers in Dubai
Laokoon Design start-up competed with world famous brands like Swarovski Home, Armani/Casa or Alessi, reports szeretlekmagyarorszag.hu.
The international fashion magazine with a high reputation, Harper’s BAZAAR organises Interiors Awards regularly, where Hungarian Laokoon Design performed among the bests in the category of Rising Designer of the Year. The company, known for its lighting, wooden covering and decoration solutions, represented Hungarian designing as the official participant of the Downtown Design exhibition of Dubai Design Week at the end of October presenting its spring/summer collection, 2017, as the only Hungarian exhibitor.
“The audience of Downtown Design was able to feel what the main pieces where in the collection, through the work of my designer colleague Zsolt Csizmadia; Medusa-family, imitating the movement of a jellyfish, was the absolute favourite among the young adults interested in design, while Drop models in the colours of rainbow turned the heads of even the youngest” – said Zsuszanna Szentirmai-Joly, creative manager about the experiences of the exhibition.
