Hungarian company to make biometric passports for Ghana
Hungary’s ANY Biztonsagi Nyomda will produce biometric passports for the citizens of Ghana, under an agreement signed by Foreign Minister Péter Szijjártó on Wednesday.
Szijjártó said on Facebook that the Hungarian company would produce an annual 500,000 passports for a term of 13 years, adding that the contract was worth a total HUF 40 billion (EUR 10.5m).
“All this shows that it has been worth launching a Southern Opening policy, opening a Hungarian embassy in Accra and that it is worth helping Hungarian companies to success on African markets,” the minister said.
