Hungarian Erasmus programme to help student exchange
Baile Tusnad, Romania, July 22 (MTI) – The government will launch a Hungarian Erasmus programme to promote student and teacher exchange between universities in Hungary and Hungarian universities beyond the borders, Human Resources Minister Zoltan Balog said on Wednesday.
He told a podium discussion held at the Tusvanyos Summer University in Szeklerland, C Romania, that the government has already instructed the ministry to prepare the programme and it is expected to be approved in September.
The programme will initially aim to triple the number of students from Hungary studying at universities beyond the borders. Additionally, the quota for students from neighbouring countries at universities in Hungary, which is currently set at 5,000, will be lifted, he said.
