Hungarian FM: North Korea nuclear threats ‘must not be allowed’
North Korea “must not be allowed to threaten anybody with nuclear arms,” Foreign Minister Péter Szijjártó said on Facebook after talks by phone with Park Jin, his South Korean counterpart, late on Wednesday.
“Global security has never been as bad since the second world war as now: there are too many armed conflicts in the world that are not only perilous to the affected countries but to other regions, too,” Szijjártó said. He added that the Korean pensinsula was “not only important for Koreans but for the whole world.”
In their talk, the two ministers agreed that North Korea must not be allowed to resort to nuclear threats, while Hungary will continue to work to that end at international forums.
On another subject, Szijjártó said the turnover of bilateral trade with South Korea had increased by 70 percent in 2023, adding that Korean companies were one of the five largest investment groups in Hungary.

Dear FM Szijjarto: Russia has been making continuous nuclear threats since its’ invasion of Ukraine. Do you have anything to say about that? Will your glorious leader Orban take it up with Putin when he meets him at the Belt and Road conference in China or will Orban continue his kissing of Putin’s rear?
Has he informed the Kremlin, if not why not? 🙂
