Hungarian foreign minister astonished by Trump’s negotiation skills

Foreign Minister Péter Szijjártó said in New York that when President Trump had announced his plan regarding the Abraham Accords, “there was hardly anyone in the world who would have believed in the success of those agreements. And then at the end of the day, he made it. And the Abraham Accords have brought a totally new dimension top the life of the Middle East”.

The White House‘s Rapid Response 47 account on X reported on Thursday that Szijjártó had told Fox News that President Trump had fantastic negotiating skills, he was a dealmaker, and when it came to President Trump “I would not call anything hopeless”.

Asked about President Trump’s announcement that the US would “take over” Gaza from Israel, Szijjártó said: “Hungaryis absolutely interested in solutions which bring peace and stability to the Middle East.”

Szijjártó praises Trump

“I don’t know whether this is implementable and whether countries in the region will accept this plan. But we all know that President Trump is a dealmaker. We all know that President Trump has fantastic negotiating skills. We understand he has been in touch with his Jordanian and Egyptian colleagues, so let’s see,” he said.

“This is maybe the most complicated issue nowadays in the world: how to make long-term peace in the Middle East. I understand that all kinds of proposals are very sensitive, all kinds of proposals can generate emotions,” he added. “What I say is that when it comes to President Trump I would not exclude anything,” Szijjártó said.

  1. Ah. I was wrong. Mr. Szijjártó is surprisingly reserved when it comes to forcibly resettling two million people to neighboring countries (forcing “Immigrants!” on US dependent countries) and allowing developers to grab the land from its current owners.

However – and this is thinking outside the box – perhaps BDPST, the talented Messrs. Tiborcz and Jellinek can also play a role, in Gaza? You know – place a Hungarian flag next to the Star Spangled Banner?

For some background – https://www.reuters.com/world/middle-east/brief-history-gazas-75-years-woe-2023-10-10/ … There are no simple solutions.

    • I was thinking exactly the same. There is no way Middle East can host 2 million of people. If that is going to push migration to Europe, maybe orban and sijjarto will happily accept them just to keeo trump happy? Time will tell

  2. In my opinion Szijjártó is one of the best ass-lickers in Hungary, seconed only to the Viktator.

  3. Sometimes – when a brain is found, it’s in a VERY, very Lonely place.
That’s the question – the DISCOVERY of a Brain ///
Szijjarto – besides a “gofer” to Orban and Putin, just “latches” on to “News of the Day” – which nearly always is “Fake News” – and like the Bulls in Spain, in Pamplona, runs with it, that eventually end in a catchment, then “herded” off – to the abattoir / slaughterhouse.
The “Matador” will be DEMOCRACY, and we know of there VICTORY over a Bull – the OUTCOME.
Szijjarto – his gullibility – continues to be a “toxic” and DANGEROUS – to the image on Hungary.
