The exchange rate of the Hungarian forint changed little by Monday morning compared to Friday afternoon’s quote in international foreign exchange trading.
Hungarian forint remains strong
According to the Hungarian News Agency, the euro was quoted at 390.71 forints at seven o’clock Monday morning, after 390.48 forints on Friday afternoon. The dollar’s rate stood at 332.98 forints compared to 333.20 forints, and the Swiss franc at 418.15 forints after 418.05. Compared to the start of the previous week, the forint was stronger by 0.6 percent against the euro, 0.7 percent stronger against the dollar, and 0.5 percent stronger against the Swiss franc at Monday morning’s quotation.
Euro-forint and US dollar-forint trends
In the last week, the Hungarian forint (HUF) showed relatively stable exchange rate fluctuations against the euro (EUR). The forint to euro exchange rate ranged between a high of approximately 0.002562 and a low of about 0.002539 euros per forint. Over the week, the forint strengthened slightly, registering an overall increase of about 0.55% against the euro.
On specific days, notable movements included a 0.375% decrease in value on September 14, 2025. Meanwhile, the euro to forint rate fluctuated between roughly 393.23 and 390.76 forints per euro, with an average rate close to 391.90 and a small decrease of around 0.63% over the week. These variations indicate modest volatility with a slight strengthening trend for the forint in this recent period.
During the last week, the Hungarian forint (HUF) appreciated slightly against the US dollar (USD). The exchange rate fluctuated between a low of about 0.00297 USD and reached a high of approximately 0.00301 USD per forint around September 12, 2025.
This indicates a moderate strengthening of the forint versus the dollar over the week, with daily rates moving from around 0.00296 USD to close to 0.00300 USD by the end of the period. Overall, the forint showed positive momentum against the USD in this timeframe.
