Hungarian girl released by Hamas: she talked about the horrors

Hamas terrorists captured 18-year-old Noga Weisz and her mother in the 7 October attack and released them yesterday. She said the attackers wanted to burn down her house. That is why she had to come out from under the bed where she was hiding. Then, she was captured and released only yesterday. However, there are more Israelis in Hamas captivity with Hungarian citizenships.

Information can be offered on Hungarian hostages involved in the armed conflict in the Middle East only if it does not threaten their security in any way, the minister of foreign affairs and trade said on Saturday. Péter Szijjártó said on Facebook that many people were asking about and were following with concern the hostage drama in the Middle East conflict.

“We were all pleased to learn about the agreement reached with the help of Qatar under which Hamas was willing to release part of the hostages,” he said.

“I maintain continual contacts with Qatari State Minister for Foreign Affairs Soltan bin Saad Al-Muraikhi. The Qatari colleagues are making every effort to enable more hostages and more Hungarians in captivity to regain their freedom,” he added.

SzijjártĂł asked for everyone’s understanding and patience, adding that it was a fragile agreement in a crisis situation involving human lives.
